Manatís collaborates with the new fashion talents: the young promises on the catwalk

On June 30, the arts were the great sources of inspiration in pieces and patterns for 6 students of the first 2010-2014 class of the Design Degree of the Llotja School.

On June 30, once again, MANATÍS, as an agency specialized in communication, collaborated with the renowned Llotja School Institution to act as master of ceremonies and help in the organization and online dissemination of the Llotja Run Away parade. An event in which six students from the 2010-2014 class presented their final degree projects in the incomparable setting of the Palau Robert in Barcelona.

There was a very varied audience of family and friends of the students, members of the entity, the media and renowned figures from the fashion world, who witnessed the talent of these pioneers of the 1st promotion in Fashion Design. Lourdes Garcia fashion director of the entity LLotja started the event and gave way to Jacqueline Ruiz, founding partner of the Manatís agency, who presented the following collections:

The first was Laura Bravo's “Armor” series, in which she combined the symbolism of the armor with the wedding dresses, with knitted fabrics and natural fibers framing the silhouettes of the models. Next, the boys from Xavi Grados gave way with their collection of another / winter “Fractum”, one of the most acclaimed projects, selected for this year's 080 Fashion Fashion. Tricot, cottons and wool for pieces that gave the models a fragile air, complemented by neutral colors. Later, Carlota Domínguez showed her project online www.carlotapelegri.com, a digital portfolio created to promote herself, bringing together editorials, lookbooks and photo sessions with which she has managed to appear in various online media.

The fantastic point of the ceremony came from the hand of Abigaïl Peña, who with her particular interpretation of Neil Gaiman's work, “Neverwhere” (title of her collection), designed and created the costumes for the characters, with the aim of adapt them to the cinema, without losing the character and setting of the story. Another of the students who also chose to be inspired by the cinema was Débora Reula, who through the story of two lovers transported us to the 40s through her garments full of femininity and romantic falls, causing a feeling of nostalgia that invaded his collection "Memories".

Marc Virgili was in charge of closing the shows with his spring / summer collection “Metaphysical Perspective”, in which he fused painting, architecture and geometry in straight silhouettes, geometric volumes, and optical effects. At the closing of the presentation of the collections developed by the young promises, a toast was offered dedicating the best wishes for the future to these new promises and the event was enlivened with the live music of the blues group “Blue Note BCN” thanks to the collaboration of Expensive Distribution and Estrella Damm.

The perfect brooch for this brilliant initiative in which Manatís was a participant, allowed once again to contribute with the humanizing and close communication that characterizes them, betting on young entrepreneurs. A successful strategy requires the activation and participation of different methods of communication with our society in the entire professional environment.
